Why do I have to complete a D81 form in divorce?

The purpose of the D81 form is to allow the court to assess whether the proposed financial agreement contained in a consent order is fair. The D81 form provides a summary of both parties’ financial positions, and explains the impact of the proposed consent order.

A court is not able to consider a proposed Consent order without a completed D81 form from both parties.
