What is Sharenting?

Coined in 2010 from the words ‘sharing’ and ‘parenting.’ Sharenting is where parents extensively document and publicise their children’s lives online. This can include sharing a large amount of photos, videos, and personal stories, about their children on social media platforms. Some argue it is a natural expression of parental pride, while critics say it can violate children’s privacy.
