What is a Non-Molestation Order?

A non-molestation order is a court injunction. It prevents an abuser from engaging in harmful behaviours – such as violence, harassment, intimidation, or communication with the victim. It is designed to protect and, create a legal barrier against abusive behaviour.  A Non-Molestation Order can be obtained by individuals who have had or are currently in a relationship with the abuser, family members, or individuals living or having lived with the abuser. This includes parents of the same child.
