What is a Consent Order in divorce?
A Consent Order in divorce is a legal document signed by a couple which formally records the details of a negotiated financial agreement reached between them by consent. It can include agreements about a sale or transfer of the family home, the division of savings or the sharing of a pension.
Once approved and sealed by the court, the consent order become legally binding and obliges the parties to the agreed terms.
