Ex won't sign clean break order

If your ex will not voluntarily sign a clean break order, you have various options to try to resolve the issue.

One option is to try a method of non-court dispute resolution to see whether a neutral legal professional can help you resolve the dispute without going to court.

If out of court options fail, it may be necessary to apply to the court for a Financial Remedy Order. This will be expensive and take time. It will involve various hearings where financial disclosure will be compulsory, and a Judge will  make a decision on financial matters.

If a Judge feels one party has been uncooperative and failed or refused to settle out of court, they may take this into account when considering whether or not to make an order for costs.
