Do we need 2 lawyers to divorce?

The days of  needing to “lawyer up” for a divorce are behind us. It is now possible to get divorced by both parties engaging the same lawyer, who acts as an impartial negotiator who looks for the best outcome for both parties. The same lawyer can handle all aspects of the divorce from assisting in the application for divorce to advising on dividing finances. Using one lawyer to separate or divorce is much cheaper (and more amicable) than the traditional route of each instructing and paying for your own lawyer.
