Can a court make a fifteen year old see a parent?
In theory, a court can make a fifteen year old see a parent, but the decision is based on what is in the child’s best interests.
In practice, the court will consider the child’s views and feelings, but the final decision is not solely based on what the child wants.
Once a child is sixteen, a court can only make orders in exceptional circumstances and a child can decide which parent they wish to live with and see.
